When racing i dont noramlly look at the gauges from first to second, i just listen to the engine. Thats probably messing up my acceleration, but wen every1 around ur town only has hondas it doesnt really matter, lol.

Chip it and get rid of that governor. Your car will be so much faster....I usually shift mine right at or under red line. The reason why the tires chirp (mine does as well) is because we have one wheel wonders (unfortunately). Get a t-lock and see if they churp. I would love to light both tires up with a t-lock.

its not the govenor.. its just your computer... keep the govenor their they are good for you know matter what you wanna believe... they protect your car

but your computer is shifting at 4k you can reflash it and get it moved up or down

my old car had posi and would chirp from time to time... but those tires were bold and were easy to chirp

also the year plays an important role, my 94 is redlined at lil over 4500 while the new ones have an extra like 500. either way, i dont believe there is anything left up that high.

the older model cars reached high torque at lower rpms
which is a good thing
unlike hondas that need to go all the way to 7krpms or more
