There are some real reasons why Bosch arent as good for 232's but I cant remember them. It may be the difference between iridium/copper etc. I just cant remember. I will take a second to search the forums.

Maybe your friends were using the wrong ones cuz some cars use iridium and others platinum or copper. (it should be replaced but the same type)
Its all in your head, those spark plugs are NOT going to make your car any faster. And 99% of the time they run badly in a stock V6. The only thing better spark plugs do is burn fuel more evenly and ONLY then if you gap them wider, and in order to do that you have to upgrade your wires and whatnot.

Using my Bonneville knowledge, I advise against platinum spark plugs. Stock Bonnevilles are all right with platinum plugs, but once you take down the pulley size, the plugs suck and ruin themselves very, very quickly. Irridium is highly recommended, but copper is a great fallback when you don't feel like spending more money. I use NGK irridium plugs, but NGK copper ones will work too.

What is the stock heat range? Or, what's the recommended heat range for a supercharged 3.8? I recommend TR55 (not TR5) plugs, but it really depends on the stock plug.

This is the worst possible spark plug you could buy PERIOD.

What's a good gap for a stock setup, then what adjustments should be made when going s/c or NO2? I'm curious cause Im stepping down to a colder NGK TR6 for my nitrous setup (75 shot, big whoop) but Im unsure of a good place to start for gap.

If u s/c should u stay in the stock heat range and add gap?

Again, I'm just curious for the s/c guys...

Was it because they grounded to the block or something? IDK...I cant remember the reason why so many people had problems with them in American cars. I know any of the "multi" tip kind have a had a history of breaking off and ending up in the engine.

The problem with platinum plugs in boosted applications is that they melt, pretty much. Copper and irridium are the only way to go. How hot is the Mustang's spark? See if you can go with an MSD ignition coil. I suggest a 55 gap, but it's a shot in the dark.

What's the issue with MSD coils? Are the stocks already hot enough? From the suggested 35 gap, I don't think they are.

I heard a lot about the E3 spark plugs, no need to set a gap, better spark for a better burn. They are about $6 each.
