Quiet, Quiet, Quiet.

So, after I do my suspension, Ill be done until...well, until further notice...

I can't stand the way my car sound now. It sounds like an effing diesel, and in my opinion, nothing is gayer than seeing a car that looks nice, but the sound kills it. So, instead of having a 6er that looks good and is loud, but doesn't actually sound "great," what would be the best bet for just simply quieting the whole exhaust setup down. (right now I'm running an o/r x with the pypes violator catback.) Would just putting some GT takes off be a good idea? I'm staying o/r x just because I don't want to spend the money to redo the mid-pipe. Really just looking to change out the mufflers.

Best bet?

your problem is no cats, I hate the sound of the v6 without cats, it is raspy and clicky, put your stock cats back on it and itll sound fine

One little problem there...

But I can promise you it still has the very...deeming, v6 quality tone to it. I wouldn't mind a little noise, but almost the sound of a stock gt or something along those lines.

Of course it has the v6 uality tone, it's a six. If you want v8 quality tone you'll need a v8, im sure you've heard that plenty of times though..

I'm in no way looking for the sound of a gt, aha. Your telling me something I learned 2 years ago when I got my car, hence to why I want to make it quiet.

The combo of no cats + an x pipe = super raspy. Do you have an exhaust clip? No offense to you, but that has got to sound like ass and I'd like to hear it

i think that ur problem is the pypes bcuz every single one ive heard doesnt exactly sound good... its gonna be pretty hard to quiet a car that doesnt have any cats and idk what to tell u other than get those back. or if you are tired of the raspy sound cut out the pypes and just start over.
