Ok this might be a first for this thread. I currently have a 2002 v-6 mustang with udp, cai, and dual exhaust. It is my bday in a couple weeks and i am looking at ideas for my car. I was looking at some stuff to dress it up a bit. Im looking at maybe chrome pedals cuz its a manual and a short antenna. Im kinda stumped is there anyother pieces that would look nice. Also i came across the screaming demon coil and was curious as to if it is just a waist of money or not. Is the stock coil fine or does it actually make a difference? Any ideas or help would be great.

I agree with youngin. If you have the money get a tuner.

Dont pay for a shorty antenna as you can make one yourself. Here's how well mine came out.

Alright thanks. Ya i was looking at the tuner idk if my family will go for that i will have to see i hope cuz that would be the best bet cuz i would pick performance over chrome anyday lol.

im guessing you have a K&N CAI since you dont have a tuner.. by far the tuner will be the best mod you can get. the best excuse is it will help your MPG which it will as well as other gains. you can also buy used ones or the XCAL2 which will be cheaper but might need unlocking from SCT themselves..

btw safi car looks great with the shorty antenna i have the 8" one from AM i was to lazy to cut it and all that . your car is red .. you should get that checked up

alright thanks im looking into the used one. is ebay a good place to buy a used tuner or are there other places cuz i dont want to get a worthless tuner that is locked to another car?

if its used it probably is locked (90%) of the time.. on the XCAL3 i see a option that you can unlock it 5times before it is permanetly locked... im not sure if that means i can send it back 5times to unlock it or i can unlock it myself. you should check prices on unlocking it just to be safe. ask the seller questions and all that goods. we have a Classified section where people sell there old/used tuner's also so keep a look on that. make sure you use paypal so you dont get screwed on the deal. you can also check other simpler/cheaper mods if that price is to high for you at this moment

To get an SCT tuner unlocked you have to pay $150. I just bought a used livewire for $90. But thankfully I know how to unlock tuners myself, so i got a $600 tuner for $90

And to clear up the unlocking thing...heres how it works. When you upload a tune to the car, the tuner is then locked to the car. Now say you would want to use it on another car now. So to unlock it you would have to put the stock tune back on the car. Once you put the stock tune back on, the tuner is unlocked but now it will only have 4 unlocks left. If you move to a different car 5 times, you will have to send it into SCT and pay $150 to get it reset (to it being unlocked and have 5 unlocks remaining)

Yeah, It looks way better with teh short antenna. I think it's 18"...Not really sure...All i did was line it up with the top of the car so it flowed nicely

Hmm...Oh so yours was one of those messed up ones that they forgot to put the 2cyl upgrade on. I guess that makes it rare...no wonder you paid so much for it
