89 MUSTANG 2.3 NO POWER PROBLEM

mikeym Look Ma! My First Post! Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 1	89 MUSTANG 2.3 NO POWER PROBLEM My 89 mustang jumped time so I replaced timing belt and all plugs -1 and 3 were grenaded.Also replaced cap and rotor.Set at tdc.Used a light to set at 10btc to factory specs.Still runs badly won`t idle no power on hills.When I replaced the two good plugs they were powdery black.Blows no smoke,uses no oil. Oil pressure is good ,does not overheat.Can anyone help?

mandy Look Ma! My First Post! Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 1	I have a 1989 Mustang with the 2.3L and have the same problem. I had just bought the car for $ 200.00 I have just replaced the timing belt. and the plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and coil. Try moving the timing belt up or back one tooth. mine looks good and runs great.

what the hell is this in the v6 section for? lol and wouldn't you adjust the timing via distributor not directly at the timing belt?
