Ebay CAI

I bought my cai off ebay but I had problems with it..... I was wondering if anyone else had problems with thiers. My pcv hose doesn't connect properly, the air filter doesn't stay on and thiers an extra hole. did anyone else have these problems? are they fixable or should I go ahead and get a K&N?

There has to be something to plugged into that hole. Not from the CAI, from your car actually, like a sensor, When I got my BBK, didnt had one, at idle cars sounds like it will cut off, cuz my car was stolen, and that piece was cut out, I went to the junk yard and got it. and it works fine.

yeah the hole has something to put in it. Get a clamp for the filter and the pcv hose you might have to just mess with

For me I plugged the upper hole with a small rubber grommet wrapped with silicone tape. It stays.

Originaly I had a small filter on it but found out I was doing more harm than good. The MAF was telling the engine how much was coming in and I was adding more after so it was an inaccurate reading.

For the lower hole (the one closer to the MAF) I salvaged the rubber boot from the stock intake, Attached a bored out 90 degree hose coupler, to a short piece of fuel hose, to the factory PVC hose. Everything holds and works.

Look just above the MAF sensor. That's the bored out 90. Picture was taken before I removed the small filter.

P.S. I know the throttle cable looks bent, this was taken before I fixed it.

LOL I got bored one day and wrapped all the elctical lines in red electrical tape. A buddy at the local cr show had done the same thing to his Intrepid. Then ripped that off and replaced it with blue when I got the CAI. 2 - 3 rolls and you're good. Takes awhile, just remeber to stang up once in awhile to re-align your back. Also it requires to unplug alot of things to get to plugs and other cables. Battery FIRST. Don't need no airbag deployment.

Typo, sorry. Didn't even notice that. Should be *STAND up. Just used to typing Stang.

Tape is just eye candy, makes people think that the car has more power than it does from a distance. Was at a cruise night once, just stopped in for a few mins to talk with a friend. Popped the hood for a min and atracted some attention from the Rev-Rev crew (what we call the ricers) who were looking from a distance. One guy was trying to point discretely, I saw him. They kept looking as I left, so I broke 'em loose at the end of the mall driveway.
