Gears and Tlok?

Ok let me know if these 4.10 gears will fit my pretty much stock 2000 Mustang V6. Tell me if the tlok will work for it too. (I have no idea what my rear end is)

I have the CAI, true duals exhaust, and new high performance brakes. After I get the gears and the tlok.. where do I go from there??? Camshaft? At the moment.. TT, ST, or any kind of supercharger is out of the question.

Those will fit. IF you just get items that fit a 7.5" rear end you will be fine.

Figure out what kind of setup you want...tell us that first. We can help you with that, and then go on from there. It may just take some time for you to finish your project.

...Kinda sucks...my mom is makin me stop moddin my car after I get my exhaust on. She wants me to get a newer car. I'm bumpin up to a GT if she is for real this time. So my little project is screwed.

Alright back on topic. Think about what you want your project to be, and tell us. Either Chris, myself, or someone else will help ya out with a little parts list, and I will do my best to get some prices for ya.

Didn't even notice that. Yea, you need a t-lok for a 28 spline unless you wanna some 31 spline axles. With that it would just be better to snag a whole rear end from a GT...easier, and you can just bolt it right up.

hey whats up cricket, I'm going to add you to my youtube. My videos kind of suck but you should check em out. I'm going to make another one today once I get my car washed.

Ok as far as the setup goes... I want to get off the line faster and my top end to be higher. When I was racing a GT, once I got to 120 that was it. So that definitely has to change.

talking about this little bad boy right here? http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-xcalibrator-2.html

Will the new livewire be more effective? Or pretty much do the same thing?

Well do you want to do this by a forced induction, chemical induction, or naturally aspirated?

Hold on.. I may have to go to dictionary.com for this. I'm honestly not sure, can you explain?

On second thought.. forced induction.

lol alright I'll explain it all anyways

naturally aspirated or a.k.a n/a = building your car up without the use of any poweradders such as nitrous, supercharger or turbocharger(s)

chemical induction = nitrous

forced inducation = as you already know turbocharger(s) or supercharger

Alright since you chose forced induction do you want turbo(s) or a supercharger? I know this is a little tedious, but I wanna tell you the best setup I can. Also if you choose turbo, tell me which setup...single or twin.

Will do scuba.

I'm kind of new to the world of modding so yeah. I don't get the difference between the supercharger and the turbos. Now the turbos make this air sound that.. might get a little annoying. If there isn't much different between the supercharger and the TT.. I would definitely go SC. By the way.. I do not want to blow my engine.

Scuba.. that is pretty nice, I definitely like how you put the LED in your interior light. I wish you still had the horse But yeah you did a really good job with it.

yea ... the easton won't work... you should look at a stcok LSD for the 7.5 from a ford dealership... they work for the GT's the'll work for us

uhh if you don't wanna blow your engine... then build it up and then go turbo's IMO twin turbos owns a s/c and day...

its all about what your application is tho on that... their are plenty of past threads on this topic tho... please look back on em

and welcome to MM

Turbos are more efficient since they run off of your exhaust gasses instead of being belt driven like a superchager. Turbos make a whistling noise, which I do not find annoying at all, as with superchargers which make a whining noise which again I don't find annoying. Supercharger is cheaper, and easeier to tune. Turbos are a little more expensive, little harder to tune, but will stomp on superchargers running the same amount of boost. If you don't want to blow your engine then get a rebuild kit with forged internals to strentghen your bottom end, and then get new stuff for your top end from www.supersixmotorsports.com to not only make more hp, but to also make your car stronger on the top end.

yes turbos sound oh so sweet. especially on a standard. weeeeeeeeee PSHHH! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee PSH!!
it sounds awesome. i like the kind of gurgling sound superchargers make when you let off the gas.
but ya turbos will walk over superchargers any day of the week.

Yeah an s/c uses power to make power...Turbo makes more power but makes more time. In fact with a turbo or two your stock gearing is fine
