But the guy that owned the car before me took out the black "trim" around the radio and shifter and such. Well.. he spray-painted it metalic green. It doesnt look hideous, but it's beginning to bother me..

I want to take it out, paint it black again, but I dont know how to get it out. I dont want to just pull it out, because that would cost a decent chunk of change to replace... any ideas?

ive had mine out so many times that it comes out pretty easily without any tools. the shifter bezel has to come out first and go in last though.

The clip on my shifter bezel broke...Now it wobbles around if i touch it

Anyone know where i can get a new one?

I did the same thing and what I did was I got a washer that acted as the clip and i screwed everything back in but it took a while to find the right size washer...

be care full there are retainers on the very top above the A/C vent that can break off if you pull to hard.

Ford sells the shifter bezels but they make you buy them with the 12v and all harnesses in it its expensive...

first off, I second that motion about the GT stick... but I'm not about to put a boot on my Auto...

secondly, my trim looks JUST like that, just a REAL dark green, I dont know when I'll get it off, have to check if we have paint, and I really dont want to buy any... I'll take pix tonight though, of what it looks like. Should I look into a metalic red (to kinda match my car)? or just go straight black.

+1 I like the boot on the auto as well...The auto's stick is extremely long and out of place looking IMO

Well, sorry guys, looks like no pictures, I do not have the cord I need to hook the camera up to the computer, my parents have yet to understand that when I leave shit by the computer, it belongs by the computer, and when they move it, I dont know where it is.
