Stupid noise!!!!
Ok I still dont know wat this noise could be. When I brake it sounds like a card that you put a bicycle spoke when you were a kid. But it stops like 10 sec later, after I have let off the brakes. Any ideas wat it could be? O yeah and I believe its coming from the front of the car.

i had that sound too about a month ago...it was the front pads being low...i ended up having to get new rotors too...that sound (if it's the same sound) is a warning sign that you need the new pads...

Ok well I havent put any upgrades in recently. I think it could be the brake pads or maybe the right side caliper because it is warn down a little. I am about to put aftermarket rims on it though.

Bob my dust shield on the passenger shield at one point was look and would make noise now that I recall since you said heat shield. I would take the wheels off and check the dust shields out. I have since removed the front ones because a bumpsteer kit won't fit with them on.
was loose*

Steeda's directions say to take off the dust covers, no way it would have fit without doing so...

Does it happen more when you accelerate? If so then you might have a crack in your exhaust manifold.

If it was a cracked header it wouldnt only happens when he brakes. It could be many things ...... dust shield is bent and vibrates, the calipers are going, the pads or the rotors. Its pretty safe to assume its brake related.

I used to have that same noise, but it happened at all times. It sounded exactly as you described it and it also came from the front of the car. It was a leak in the exhaust. The bolts came undone from where the headers meet the pipe and made that noise, but it was easily heard during breaking because the echaust noise from the flowmasters is gone. If you have a loud exhaust maybe you just dont hear the noise, but it could be there. Check your exhaust connections, and as mentioned before check for cracks.

...maybe there's a diff from the 00 to 03, looking at my roomates gf's car (stock 01) there are noticeable differences in a few things that make you go, "why?"
