2004 Automatic Transmission Problem

I have a 2004 V6 Conv, automatic, with 30k miles. My problem started at about 12k miles. When the automatic transmission shifts to 3rd, after about 2 seconds the tach drops 200 rpm. In other words, it sounds as if it shifted to 3rd than to 4th, not overdrive, althouth the shift feels more like a slip rather than a solid shift. While in 3rd, pulling normal, you can feel a vibration in the seat & steering wheel until the car shifts to overdrive then the vibration goes away. Ford has worked on it 3 times. The first time they said they did not notice anything wrong. The second time they said the torque converter was bad so a new one was installed. The 3rd time they agreed something was wrong but since Ford had no history of this problem they did not know what to do. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. You can even email me at bdoss@bgf.com. Thanks, Bruce Doss
