Why is my car so slow

Ok so I think all my mods minus the 4.10's are in my sig. I replaced the o2 sensors and havent had the annoying lean code or lack of h2 whatever it said. I know part of my problem is no traction with the stockers and 205's pn, but even then I should be running quicker. I ran a thunderdird turbo coupe with just a cai and exhaust(as far as I know) and from a 40ish roll I could Pull away but around 90 he would start reeling me in...Arent those about as quick as the 5.0's I shoulda been able to beat him much easier...Any ideas? It feels fine minus the wheel hop/spin. Or is my traction just that bad thats its making me uber slow.

I wouldn't think you'd have any traction problems at 40mph unless it's wet... I could see you having problems from a dig though.

It's a bolt on v6. That's why.

spray the hell out of it! Drag radials are your friend.

yes, drag radials are your friend. if you want more bolt ons do aluminum driveshaft, windstar upper intake, suspension work. if you wanna go big go s/c or turbo

but to answer your original question, its cuz you drive a v6

^ouch!

what would be an example of a drag radial? just so i can better understand this one, is it just a really big tire?

[ ] ---- stock tire

[ ]---drag radial

is my understanding correct? i can see more rubber on the ground, better traction.

Yeah I can feel em spin if I hammer it at 40mph...sometomes it even gets a lil squiggly back there. The tires have good tread but suck on cold road. And yes I know its a V6, I figured you guys would know I caught on to that tho

I have no issues getting traction to the ground at 40mph. Then again I have 245's in the rear with some sticky goodyear eagle f1's. Yeah...better tires and that problem will be squashed.

ur tires must be horrible behind horrible then if they are spinning at 40mph with those mods. theres not much a chance that a simple bolt on v6 is gonna be turning the tires at those speeds.

From a 40ish roll.
Is your car and auto or manual?

I know in my 6, if I'm at 42 or 43 mph, the car is in its highest gear at its lowest RPMs. If I stomp on the gas, it downshifts and then accelerates (and it makes a little "squeek"). You say you have an SCT "tune" (as in like a chip or something or do you have a handheld?). I was just thinking maybe you can change the shift point and pressure to maximize from that roll speed.
