well what year do you have? the max hp is different between the years. if you have a 99-04 then shift around 5250 our max horsepower on a stock engine is 5250. so shift around there. if you have street tires i would launch anywhere from 2000-2700

power shifting is when you never take your foot off the gas. you push the clutch in yet keep your foot on the gas and then release the clutch. it makes it where it seems theres no lag. but its very hard on your clutch. i dont recomend power shifting.

lol go easy on the exclamation points!

if your racing shift at 5250 or around there for every gear. still this is dependent on the year. what year is yours?

if you have problems with spinning in 1st gear. well either get new tires, get t-lok, or just launch at lower rpms. say you spun at 3k rpms drop it to 2700 then 2500, etc.

during normal driving shift from 2-2.5k rpms.

shift right at the redline which is a bit after 5K

if you spin at idle to go you need to either learn to launch a stick car better.. or get new tires or like he said a t-lok

you could always get one of those in car shift lights that tell you when to shift.

Also you have to tune them to the turn on when you want to shift so if you don't know then that is useless.

What rpm's are you launching at when your racing? Why don't you lower them down, and then once your goin then floor it. Your prob will be with street tires is that you can't hook, and also with all the power goin to that one wheel it will cause you to spin the tire more. Your gonna have to lower the rpms down.

really i would just stall on your break RIGHT BEFORE you take off dont hold it too long and dont push the gas in so hard it spins the tire.. just stall it up at like 1,400 rpm and you should get a good leap off the line.. i guess you gotta get good at that tho

all u wanna do is keep it from bogging off the start cuz then u are deff out of the powerband and it will take more time to get back in it. a slight spin isnt bad as long as u can kinda stay in the torque range.

but no spin is better. ive found that 2500 is a great launching point. im sure when i get positrac it will be about 3k and that will be a much better launch. my friends always joke around about how i should get one slick lol
