actually it causes you to take in more air, thus running the mixture leaner, causing a theoretical increase in mileage.

Yea, but they don't do shit, and that is just theory. Your engine will only take in so much air, and also will try to compensate from the more lean of mixture, and try to create a more rich mixture so it's a waste of money. If your car is lightly modified, has full bolt ons, stock it won't do a thing. The only time it may possibily be effective is if you upgrade your top end. Until then...why bother, and even then it truly won't do much.

TBs and TB spacers are useless unless you have a high output v6 lol like 250hp+ until that point itll hurt your car

Sounds like it's more trouble/expense/risk than it's worth. Thanks!

i was looking around and i saw some that have ribs on the inside of the spacer that are supposewd to cause a vortex effect on the air going in and give decent hp gains.

check that out. that company is saying that the tb spacer will increase gas mileage 1-3 mpg. seems that we have a discrepancy.

your car would have to be taking air in REALLY fast for that thing to "cause a vortex"

Point taken... already said I wasn't going to get it.

Let's see... I believe I have 4.10 Gears and a T-LOK on my list. That's it. I know; no added HP, but acceloration none the less.
