i think the 5.0 is a great motor, i dont see how a pushrod 5.0 would but so much strain on the rear end though kinda confused

The 5.0 was a great block like he said. If it wasn't you'd never see those vids and pics of old foxes doing wheel stands.
The trouble with em is that they lack a lock of the tq stock that the never modular 4.6's have. The lighter, torque-ier 3.8/3.9's outrun the 5.0's until just at the end of 2nd gear stock. But when that 5.0 really starts building power it can throw you 7.5 for a loop

In that case, yeah you could probably get away with it. It would only get you in the long run on you 7.5.

Why are you going to waste the $ on building the 7.5 when you can just save and get the 8.8? You are going to pay double for the rear end. Just do it once and be done with it.

ewells is right. im buying an 8.8 wed for 400...
buying the tlok+install will be the same if not more... if u cant find one for less then 600... save 200 dollars more and pay for the one you're going to eventually buy anyways. no point in wasting 400ish dollars bro. i mean... thats still 400 dollars lol. shit.

well i got the trac lock for the 7.5 for 220 from ford racing so im not wasting that much money just putting it in till i can find a good 8.8. And with a stock 5.0 it should hold for quite a while without me launching it.
