99-04 Gt Throttle body

Will a 99-04 gt throttle body fit my 99 3.8. Im goin to get ported and polished upper and lower intake and was wondering if there was a cheaper option then buying the bbk 3.8 tb.

+1 just match the size as close as possible, there are a few options for the 3.8.

windstar with GT TB is better. Because it's not a ton more than the BBK tb and you'll get better gains. But IMO just stay stock TB until you go FI.

It would probably be cheaper to get the windstar with the 65mm TB rather than the P+P upper and BBK TB. The windstar is also a better design.

the windstar intake is plastic so idk if u can P&P it lol and you can get the gt TB with it for like 50$ and i doubt u would see any difference if u P&P the lower with a windstar on top of it

OK here...from ssms base price for P+P upper 300, cut and weld add 250, and add 250 for 65mm TB. Thats $800.. The windstar is $455 with the TB.. HUGE price difference.. The windstar stock probably flows the same as a P+P upper (just a guess). If you port match the windstar to the lower then you have the same power, just much cheaper.

Instead of a ported upper, get a windstar, then you can use the GT TB with that.

Agree totally with ^. The only way the you would need a cut and welded upper is if your boosting it. Otherwise for the money you can save get the windstar. And might as well get the GT TB with it for 40 bucks.

Ya, I noticed that a lot lately that ppl are bumping them. Maybe it is a good thing. It means they are using the search button instead of posting same rhetorical question over and over and over
