Is the 5 speed tranny in a 95 V6 mustang the same as the one in the V8?

just curious as i just bought a 95 V6 with an engine knock and have thought about a 5.0 swap in.

There are a lot of differences. Its not worth it trust me.

you've got a lot more to worry about than just the tranny..
but to answer your question, the tranny in the v6 will work, but it is weaker than the one in the v8 and it will eventually fail.

also, you'd have to upgrade your suspension, rear end, instrument cluster, and change out the computer.

what needs upgraded in the instrument cluster? i have the V8 truck sitting there so computer wouldn't be a problem.
