Welcome to MM. What exactly are you looking to get out of your car?? Like are you wanting just a little more hp to play around or you wanting to take it to the track and actually do a little bit of racing?

Yeah i already read through the hole thing i dont understand half of it really... i need to really start from the basics and figure out how to put the things that i do end up geting in without messing some things up hehe. so it says the bolt on addons like a cold air intake right.. but i have a k&n on there and the dealer i called said it has a sensor and i cant really do anything with it is this true?

Alright well first thing everybody does pretty much is Cold air intake. Some will say I want the name brand 250 dollar blah blah blah one, and then you have sensible people who realize all it is is a freaking tube. Tubes are all made the same freaking way, so we go to ebay get a 40 dollar one and call that a day. Then next thing youre going to want to do is probably get dual exhaust. After that since youre planning on taking it to the track you willl want to get a trac-lock which puts power to both wheels instead of one. While youre getting that done you might as well throw in gears too. From what I hear you want to go with 4:10s for an automatic and 3:73's if you have a manual.

ok great yes its a manual i dont do automatics. but ok so im on the right track i have a cold air intake on the way now and i ran into the problem with there is a K&N intake on there now... when i was buying the cold air intake some guy said the there was a sensor and some other tube runing to the K&n and if i took this off it could really mess some things up... i have no clue what it is or if its safe to take the K&n out and put in the cold air intake any ideas? and what duel exaust what u recommend? the would be ok for a beginner to install and should i pay to get the 3:73 gears put in or is this simple anough i could get a manuel and figure out? Thanks for everyting btw great help

Ok the Intake is a piece of cake whoever said there is something you can mess up..........disregard that and slap him with a spatula lol There is a sensor though you will see it. You cant really mess it up just try not to get trash in it. ANYBODY CAN PUT AN INTAKE IN. The exhaust you will have to go to a shop to get done. Get on youtube and look for v6 mustang exhaust. Most people have super 40s and they dont sound bad at all. I wanted to try something new that nobody had yet so i went with Super 44's and I really like those alot. They sound deeper than the 40s. When you get an exhaust you want to tell the guys to cut the y pipe and run it 2 seperate pipes with a crossover in the middle. Or if they know what youre talking about just say H-pipe.

Yeah i mean really you could do these in any order just as long as you get t-lok and gears installed at the same time cause labor would kill you if you got em put in seperately lol
