Switching to dual exhaust
I got together with my dad today (he knows how to weld, not me) and we talked about switching my car to dual exhaust. I suggested we goto a junkyard and find a 99-04 mustang gt and take the exhaust off and just hook them straight up to my car. I figured I can just throw some flowmaster or macs on later. So, I guess my real question is how large is the piping on the GT take-offs? I dont wanna go bigger than 2.25'.

will the h pipe or x pipe, which ever it is, on a gt. bolt straight up to my exhaust manifold. if i did that i wouldnt have to buy an aftermarket mid pipe. i could just go to a junkyard and grab it while i get the take offs

dude if ur tryin to go from the straight 6 exhaust to a gt dual exhaust get the pacesetter h pipe. It's a converter from 6cyl exhaust to 8 cylinder exhaust. I have the pacesetter h pipe w/ slp loudmouth exhaust and I think it sounds pretty damn nice! at some points you can almost mistaken it for a GT! if youre interested the cheapest price for it is on WWW.AMERICANMUSCLE.COM they have free shipping too! good luck

I'm looking to get a 2006-2008 V6 Mustang. I just wanted to know if converting to a dual exhaust is street legal, and also wanted to see if anyone knew what kind of MPG or Hp increase i would see with CAI, dual exhaust, and smaller pulleys?

as for MPG and HP....maybe a couple of MPG but nothing to write home about....power wise you'll get a better increase then a new edge...but you'll need a tune since you're wanting an 05-09 model |
