First Time Stang Owner
Hello everyone.
This is my first time owning a Mustang. And I was wondering what are some good mods to start off with on the V6 to pick up a lilttle power without going nuts on money. Any help would be greatful. Also I was looking for a chip for the V6 and could not find one. Is there even a chip for it and if there is where can i get it. Thank You, V6Stang07 |

cold air intake and exhaust is one of the first things. it lets the car breathe better and get a tuner not a chip

^what he said. for cai, i'd say get one from americanmuscle.com. I got my first cai from there for 60 bucks. exhaust, a custom job will do, you can get it done for less than 400. and of course, a tuner, not a chip.

+81. Stickies are great for basic knowledge and preferences. And all these guys are great sources of info and help so ask away. And as said, CAI, exhaust and a tuner are normal starting points. Welcome and good luck in the modding journey.

well, it would depend...if this imaginary 4.9L v6 still made as much hp as the 4.0L...i would be really embarrassed lol. my engine would be .3L bigger than the v8, but i wouldnt be making nearly as much power...but if this "4.9L" v6 put out more power than the v8, i would be like
I !

Everyone knows all 4.0L v6's run low 11's so i mean the 4.9L runs mid 9's its simple math but it has to be auto so the powers 24/7 fucker. As long as you can keep the chassis from twisting on the launch you’ll be fine.
