I can't remember exactly what my friend was telling me about those SS Cobalts, but it's something about the Ecotec engine that makes them somewhat of a contender.

my friends cobalt ss is running 12 psi. he took the intake cover off and that supercharger is fucking loud!
anyways he runs almost head to head with my friend 2001 gt with 3.73's ,drag radials, custom intake manifold , cai, and other little shit mods

cavi's r peppy but in theory you should blow him out of the water with your bottom end against his man. its the nitrous thats gettin yah when ur launching an auto hold the break and pump it up till ur almost doing a line lock and then let er rip it will balance your torque converter and give u the power u need on the dig right as soon as u release the break and put the gas the rest of the way down.

yeh i know how to drive my car.. his car is just too fast.. and he doesnt spray when he races me he only sprays when money is on the line

2.0 l ecotec superchargeed...12.5psi of boost 2800 lbs......lsd.....is the fast track time and best handling car out of any four cylander out there....they exhaust is byfar the best stock exhaust u can get stock with any car....and by a stage 2 kit for like 200 bucks an be in mid 13's...

audi quatro tt are quick too man my gf's best friend has one... her daddy bought it for her go figure lol only reason i beat it in a race is cuz she cant work a clutch worth a shit lol i raced her dad in it tho and got ROCKED totaly

a lancer evo will stomp a cobalt in a 1/8 1/4 1/2 mile or even a full mile.. and it would ruin the cobalt in a track race... so no lol the evo is by far the fastest 4cycle that is mass produced

and that cavy really isnt that ugly you just cant see the whole car

lol look it up for year 2006 track time are faster with a cobalt then the evo..1/8-1/2 yeah evo stomps it not in a track tho....guess what the world fastest four cylender engine is....a chevy cobalt doing 261mph with stock engine...now they modded the shit of the engine..but it was still the 2.0ecotech s/c......it beat the saturn ion redline wich was at 232...

i am talking about stock MASS PRODUCTION CARS a FWD car will never beat a AWD car on the track... unless its out HP'd by 200hp .. there is no way you can tell me on a circuit style race a evo would lose to a Cobalt stock vs stock thats just flat out retarded

uhmm....look at the skid pad ratings...the cobalt is slightly high g-force....so its hard to slide out...now if mitsubishi could get there suspension dialed down....then the evo would spank it...

why do u think the sti is a lil highly more rated then teh evo...the evo basiaclly own its except in handling...sti takes it b/c evos suspension is wack 07s year they hoped they changed it...

I call bullshit.. Cobalt SS 230hp FWD Lancer Evo (newest one) 300hp AWD -- note: The evo out ran every 4cycle AWD car in its class... -- a cobalt cant do shit.. a evo would stomp it idk who lied to you but its not true..


EDIT: A Evo also out handles and out runs a WRX STi 7 and a cobalt wouldnt touch the WRX so no.. again

lol....like i said...evo...owns a cobalt...in the quarter mile...not in track series....cobalts skid pad is rated meaning doesnt have to slow down as slow as the evo does...gmpp got there shit together...


oh yeah in 07 they did cuz its the evo "X" they put a different suspension in them read some car and driver..they talk about it
