coil, plugs, wires? oh my

right now im considering getting a new coil pack, NKG iridium spark plugs and MSD 8.5mm wires. now im just wondering are there any more electrical buffs i could do? (besides the tuner duh.) and whats a good coil from MSD that i should see some noticeable difference in? lastly how much power/difference should i expect?

I have been wanting to know the same thing! I hear even if you don't see much gain they should still be a first mod tho.

Now you don't have to go with MSD. If you want something simple that you feel results with go with the Screamin Demon Coil Pack from www.v6mustangstuff.com It's also a lot cheaper. It's like $89. With that it's extremely easy to install. It just replaces your whole coil pack. So it's 4 bolts, plug your plugs in, and your distro plug back in, connect the battery up again, and your done.

Now I went with Livewires instead of MSD as well. With these It's really a matter of preference of which you want. You won't feel a noticible difference between the two. Can't tell what they hp gains are since I never had my car dyno'd and I also put some other mods on since that.

If you really want to go with MSD then try this set up, the MSD 6AL, with the proper harnesses for Ford engines, and some 8.5mm superconductors.

If you want something that is cheaper, and you will still feel a difference go with the Screamin Demon Coil Pack, and either Livewires($99) or MSD 8.5mm superconducters(Don't know the price.).

You can get both the Screamin Demon and the Livewires at www.v6mustangstuff.com

The whole pack is easy. It's just 4 bolts, a plug, and puttin your spark plug wires back in. A single coil pack...I don't know. I havn't had to that.

the company claims .3 off of their 1/4 times. I don't know if thats true, but with my coil pack, and spark plug wire setup, I did feel a small noticible gain.

just some spark plug wires. Go with some Livewires or some MSD 8.5mm superconductors. Either one you will not notice anymore power than the other, and you get both the screamin demon coil pack and the livewires off of www.v6mustangstuff.com $89 for the screamin demon, and $99 for the wires.

I don't know, but they are small. The wires are good for the new coil pack distributor because you will actually benefit from the added power. The stock wires won't transfer anything more than what they can handle. The new wires will transfer the colder spark much better, and that is when you can feel it.

Not that I'm aware of, but there might be. Why do you want to know the size?
