Dipstick Hits Something In Crankcase

So I thought it would be a good idea to remove the dipstick tube to install headers today. Well it worked and they got installed. Just put everything back together and now when I fired the car up it went clankety clankety clankety clankety, you get the idea... it's hitting something in the rotating assembly... SO

1) Anyone have a picture of a stock, unbent oil dipstick tube I can bend mine back to?

2) Anyone know a trick to cut down the section that goes into the crank case to clear such obstructions?

3) Somebody give me some hope

I found that it was difficult to get the dipstick tube in with the engine in the car. I had to remove the brake master cylinder to install it. Did you change the bends in the tube to clear the headers? Do you have the bolt back into it at the head? If the bends in the tube were changed I would suggest bending the bottom part away from the crankshaft centerline.

the only way that your motor is gonna make noise from putting the dip stick in is if some how you broke the end off and it fell in ............. hopfully thats not the case or thats gonna be real shitty ............

I did have to bend it to remove it so the bends were changed... Im pretty sure it's pointing too much towards the crankshaft. After trying to bend it away (more towards the side of the oil pan) I broke off the section below the o-ring. So now it's RTV'd down in the hole w/ no leaks, mounting bolt installed. Just can't put the actual dipstick in for the same reason (we'll keep that in the trunk until it's time to change the oil or until I buy a new tube). Thanks for the help folks!!
