Head gasket

i have a 97 v6 mustang and i have a slow leak coming from my front lower head bolt on the driver side..i have heard from several people that it could just be the sealant around the bolt gone bad...has anyone else had this problem or heard of this..my orginal thoughts was my head gasket itself..

thanks
