Drag Launch Kit

Eibach Drag-Launch Springs (79-04 V8 Coupe) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
it is advertised for the V8 only, but every other spring kit is advertised for v8/v6. would it still work on a v6? and the customer review says that it didnt drop the height of his gt at all, but since the v8 is obviously heavier than the v6, would it actually raise the height of my car?
that would suck...but if it does, ive heard of some people cutting their springs...how hard a task is this?

i know, i just want to make sure they wont raise my car because it makes the gts keep their stock height, but the gt is heavier. and i want to know if theyll fit in my car.

i have a set ofthose springs sitting in my room waiting to go on

you can use them...
they tend to raise the front a tad though,...id install and see how you like if not cut a little
i'd get them if your in serious need for traction...
but no offense to you judging by your mods you'd be better of with a pro kit or the sport line
the drag launch are named drag for a reason....its not the best street option

If your worried about ride height ,go with another set........Sportlines give you a good drop.

But when you start to put down somw more power and you want more traction get the drag launch kit .....you won't be worried about ride height

ya no offense taken, i know im basically stock for now (have like a 1hp advantage over stock, so nothing noticeable), but i was just kind of viewing this option. ive read up on here about people just getting larger tires when they have traction problems, but for me that would require larger(and heavier) rims (still on stock rims), which i have heard will take away any gains cai and exhaust will give. if i do get these, it will be down the road, i just came across them and wanted to ask about them before i forgot my questions/concerns.

and you recommend cutting a little if i do get them and dont like them, but johnson said dont...so is it a hard task? or does it just tend to look unbalanced or something? could a shop do it fairly easily if i didnt want to try it myself?

would the pro-kit or sportline increase grip? i thought they just lowered the car?

If you cut them make sure you cut the same amount
there is actually nothing wrong with cutting those springs aside from the lifetime warranty void
i'll take pics of the kit but theres nothing wrong with cutting the drag springs
stock i dont recommend
again theres nothing wrong with it...its purely "riced" in the eyes of some.
thats why people dont recommend it

That and it could mess with the spring rate. Especially if it's a progressive spring instead of a linear one. If i'm wrong, please correct me. I'm still learning the suspension side of my car.

You would scrap EVERYTHING with a 4.5 in. drop. If it's a street car, then there is no way you have a 4.5 in. drop. Even if you did, you couldn't go over any bumps or you would destroy you undercarriage. Pics or your full of crap.

4.5 drop is ridiculous. no need to drop it that low for a street car that rides on average roads.
