2000 dollar limit

Hey, my exterior is pretty much done for now (just got my c springs in, getting lowered soon) I am looking at about a budget of 2000 dollars to put into the engine.. It is bone stock, what would you guys suggest I do in order to get the most performance possible out of my engine? Thanks
