okay...so im working out a deal w/ a guy from the TN mustang club forum to buy a set of GT rims he has...its a 17" rim that holds a 245/45/17 and thats the size iv been wanting...i like the looks of it and i talked him into the rims and 4 okay tires for $200...what do ya'll think...i think they'd look way better then my stockers...btw...does anyone have pics of these on a new edge...i cant find any on google

i like those 17's way better then the chrome ones...sure they aren't shiney like my stock ones, but seriously...ill be happier w/ a wider tire...plus w/ the money im saving buying these rims w/ tires over a new set of everyday bullets i can afford to lower the car 1.5"...thx for the feedback though

im not building a sleeper..im building a car that i can sell thats as stock as possible...i really don't care about aftermarket looks...i just want a wider tire w/ a stockish look...sure i may lower it later down the road...but its not like im gonna go slap a body kit on it...build the engine..and take it to car shows...no, i just want a bit more grip for my DD...

so yeah...im pretty much going to get them, and put them on at the TMC meet on the 25th...

I'm sure nitto makes a drag radial and an nt01 to fit your stock rim size.

Lol, everyone is disagreeing with you. Why did you want feed back?

To argue your point, if you want the stock look this is the way to go I guess, but you already have a stock look, and since you arn't doing any modifications under the hood really, you shouldn't need more grip. This is all my opnion of course. Good luck with the buy though.

+1 why trade stock for stock? Your rims are what 16"? I don't see the point of dropping the $200 and then needing new tires soon... that money could go elsewhere and be more worthwhile I say...

I personally wouldn't do it and do see much much improvements, but it's your money, your car. The parts you get are what makes a car unique, whether it be a nice set of rims or the plain ones you're looking at.

wow...i could see myself buying these just because people said dont...lol

i called the guy and told him id like to see the rims against my car b4 i decided, and he told me he also had a set of bullets w/ light rash for the same price...245/45/17's...if they look good ill get them instead
