take it back to where u got the heads done was this immediately once u picked it up or did it occur after a little bit of driving?

it is probably one of the solenoids in the trans. probably a combination of the tcc solenoid and the pressure control solenoid. but whatever has gone wrong the trans has gone into a defualt mode and you are going to need to fix it yourself (dont do this unless you completly know how) or take it to a dealership. trust me on this i spend all day fixin hydramatic 4L80's

it started happening like 2days prior to the smoke, before i had the head gaskets changed, so i thought changing the gaskets would fix it, the smoke did stop and but it dropped from going to 60mph without shifting to 40mph without shifting from first after the change of the gaskets
