IAC


Is there any website i can order a new IAC from? Or do i directly have to go to ford?

i didnt know you could clean it. my rpms hang way up whenever i shift. I have a brand new clutch so i know its not that. happened to my dads pick-up, and he replaced it. How would i clean it??

That doesn't sound like the IACV. It could be a sticking throttle body.

You can clean both of them by removing them from the car and use throttle body cleaner which is available in a spray can.

That's normal on our cars. You can do the IAC gasket mod to help out a bit.

I had the hanging RPMs complaint too... Did the IAC mod, also tinker'd w/ the spring rate via the little hex thingy on the back side... I don't recommend it because it's finicky but if u back that out a few rounds (like 4 or 5) and then open up the TB w/ the hard stop screw it will help the RPMs to not hang but w/ the AC on it kinda acts funny... still works fine thought. I live in FL so my AC is the 2-45 kind (2 windows down @ 45 MPH!)
