8.8 and 7.5


Im pretty sure the answer is No to this question but ima ask anyways. Will the 7.5 axles fit in the 8.8 rear?

I would say no because the axles is to small

yeah thats what i was thinking, I need an 8.8 for my project car, theres a 4 lug i found for 150 and i have like three 7.5 rears around here that are 5 lug, so I just thought I would ask lol.

yes they will!!!!

as long as you still are going with a 28 spline and not 31 --- as far as length there the same

you should just build the 7.5 mine has a detroit tru track diff 3.73 gears ........... and will hold around 500 hp

yeah i dont want to chance it, its not for my sixxer lol. Its for my 350 so they will fit?

Yes, a 28 spline axle from a 7.5" carrier will fit in an 8.8" axle housing as long as it has a 28 spline carrier also.

if you have a 4 lug (ie. fox body) rear then no the axle's wouln't fit as fox rears are narrower. sorry.

they will work
if they made a 31spline posi unit for the 7.5 i could stick 31spline mosers for a GT or 8.8 in my car no issues
you can stick 28spline 8.8mosers in
as long as its the same year as the rear
such as 99-04
94-98
etc
