Whats the difference?

I look at these but see not deference? Why does one cost more? name brand?

Mustang V6 Cold Air Intake Kit (94-98 V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
and
BBK Cold Air Intake (94-98 V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

another question..
I was looking about at gears.. and they say stuff like..For all Ford rear ends, 8.8 inch.

Yes you would be paying for the name brand. They are both the same thing. And 8.8 is a GT axles. our axles are 7.5. So look for gears for the 7.5

EDIT: I looked around abit about which gear to swap to and i thought everyone would say 4:10 but then i saw this ? (auto-4.10 manual-3.73)

I have a manual so should i or shouldn't i go with the 4:10 gear?

We have had so many threads just on this topic. But for our 6ers we really don't get a lot of power out of CAI so if you want to save money you can get the AM or ebay. But if you want a brand name go with the BBK or K&N, I have a BBK and I love it.

It all comes down to what you want and what you can afford at the time.

Exactly... CAI adds a deeper sound and shiny's under the hood It also adds a few letters to your sig like "Mods: BBK CAI" LoL

ive also talked to a couple people who have the AM one. When I accelerate with my BBK, i can hear a whistle noise (air being sucked in) and i can here the air rushing out when i shift, on top of the deeper exhaust tone. The people i talked to with the AM one said they dont hear it. It may be they dont hear it even though its there, or it may be the AM one doesnt whistle. so it would help if people with the AM one state if they hear a whistle noise or not, so the op can also decide if he wants a whistle noise or not. (I personally love the noise lol)

I love the whistle... some teenagers outside my house hear me pull in and there like... is that turbo'd?? I just smile and ask if they wanna race =P

Whistle gets attention You can hear it from a pretty decent ways away!

ya, i was drivin a friend around and i had told him about the whistle and the (hard to describe) noise it makes when i shift, and he said it was louder and more noticeable than he thought it would be.

(that noise between shifts kind of reminds me a quiet bov. doesnt it to you?)

the am cold air intake does whistle when i hit the gas at first its a bit annoying but im so used to it now it doesnt faze me. and this is off topic but if your just starting to mod your v6 your not going to see much gains from simple bolt ons. you should go with underdrive pulley's or a t-lok first or you may be a little disappointed.

I also have a AM CAI n it whistes a little..im panning on changing the head to a bbk or k&n later on down the road...and if ur goin to put gears u should get a t-lok also and have a shop install them one time it will be cheaper on labor then having them put it in one by one...and also get a tuner so u can colaberate ur speedometer when u change ur gears

ok so i guess the other people i talked to with the AM one just werent paying attention and yes, a tuner is great for more power and to recalibrate your speedo after a gear change.
