Injectors, Windstar Intake, Turbo
OK, I have a few questions about some stuff I'm doing. I have the stuff I need to do a windstar intake swap. I'm also planning on porting and polishing the upper and lower intake, and a little work on the heads. I figure while I'm in there I'm going to do a cam and upgrade the fuel system. I wanted to know what size the stock injectors are and what would be a good size to upgrade to. I was thinking maybe 36# and a better fuel pump of course. I'm hoping to get everything part and getting to work on it within the next 2 weeks depending on the weather. My goal in the end is going to be in the 300-350 rwhp range. My idea is a turbo because I've seen turbos used with windstar intakes. Is that reliable, or only for low psi? (Of course the turbo is down the road probably a year or so. But it won't be a problem as the cars in great shape and only has 40k on it) Thanks for any help and recommendations.

depending on your cars year i believe they have 19lb injectors, and most upgrade to 39 or 42lb's that come out of a lightning or cobra along with a SVT focus fuel pump. as far as F/I, look into TMA turbo's for V6 mustangs or the Eaton M112 kit.

you may want to look into 42lb injectors.a plastic intake would last as long as you dont backfire through the intake.

And I just wanted to check...until I do the turbo around this time next year, it doesn't really bother anything to run the heavier injectors, right? And I think I'm going to get the injectors in the classifieds on here soon. So would you guys recommend 36# or 42#?

so does anyone know if it hurts anything too much, or performance if I were to use 42# injectors in a car that makes, say 250hp until I do the turbo?
