I'd have to say either the LiveWire or the Sniper.
With the sniper it comes with the software you can use to make adjustments to your tune everytime you put on some new mod. The livewire is just like the xcal2/3 but it also has the performance menu, shift light, and other "cool to have" features. I personally have a LiveWire and love it, but either one you can't go wrong with |

Livewire is a bunch of extra stuff most people wont need..
X3 would be the way to go for most people.

Why would you say that?
It's not like that. To actually make tunes you need the tuning software (cost $379 from tricktuners). The only changing to a tune you can do on the tuner itself are the few user adjustable options such as idle, fan speed, etc. |

i like having the real-time monitoring system from the livewire. but i guess if you wanted to save a few bucks you could get an x3

The only extras from the Llivewire that are really helpful would be the monitoring...
And most of the people posting here don't need to monitor anything

No need for a chip. You connect your tuner directly into your cars OBDII port

ill throw my towel in with Sniper Special Forces, mainly just to throw a wrench in all of these other guys works lol. Im personally getting a Sniper because you can adjust it and i you read the walkthrough on how to use it on their website it is SUPER easy, just save your stock settings and you can tune your car to your mods by yourself. Its all drop down menus, just dont mess with timing or anything of that sort if you dont know what your doing, but some people on here im sure can steer you in the right direction for that

You're not throwing a wrench into anything here... My car still has a running motor from my SCT software.
