People with turbos or super charged v6, do you get a new speedometer?


Just wondering. I am assuming the cars will break 120 easy with a turbo or super charger and if you take it to the strip it could be useful. Has anyone switched theirs out for a one with a higher mph on the gauge.

the stock speedo works fine for me
even to 140 races and soon 150
who cares what the track does
im sure it'll be past 120

I know smart ass LOL. I was just looking at the reverse guages and saw one at 140 for a v6 and wondered if people actually change that.

i only hit 105 in the 1/4 mile. i'll stick with the 120mph speedo.....even though i may not have this car for much longer

Thats what I was getting at but sometimes on car forums if you mention going 100+ on the road you got flamed by like 50 people.

F*** all that
i street race wed, fri and saturday all night to 130-140 when my cars out
when your on your cleared road miles away in the middle of no where, i wana know wheres the childish idiot part of me endangering someone elses life thats not participating when theres 2 people on the road only, 1 is me.

in my eyes if your pushing your cars limits track or street
you have a great chance hitting a wall at 120 if your doing it
where i race i have a great chance at going off the road in to a grassy field if i lose control.

i cant remember the last time hitting a dead stop vs an open field was more dangerous
but hey i dont care or listen i just do

Chris its safer because at the track if you lose it and go into the car next to you...

Well...

The paramedics are on call?! and you have a fire crew and all that stuff....

Yeah...
ive never seen a crash at a track that a paramedic saved they're life
usually the cars losing control have fire safety systems by track requirement.

none the less yea in some ways thats safer
i'd still rather crash into a field then a wall
