A sensor on your car is reading something out of the norm, so it may be a problem with your car or a problem with a sensor. Have your codes pulled (your local Autozone will do this for free), you'll then learn what's throwing the code. It could be as simple as a bad gas cap, O2 sensor, or something more serious.

nope oil will not throw a code its a mechanical issue. is it flashing? that would mean a missfire.

no clue without the code. get autozone to check it. you have so many sensors and potential problem areas, but there is no telling where to begin without the code(s) the CEL throws.

You can check the on board diagnostics trouble codes from the trip meter display. Just press the trip meter reset button six times (five times in Ford's documentation, may differ depending on the panel version) after the gauge sweep. If everything has been okay in the engine, text "nonE" is displayed on the LCD. supposed to work its a fast way of pulling obd2 codes from my days at the ford dealership.

I bet you anything it is your rear o2 sensor mine was on for a year and you can get it fixed and it will just get stuck again. It is real annoying but won't mess up your car. A tuner from SCT will fix it permanently or you can go to a mechanic and have them fix it for like 80 or 90 bucks.
