I won my first race!!!

okay... so sorry for bugging you guys about a 5.0L... i am totally changed as of tonight... i was leaving work, and one of my buddies that i work with has a 1999 honda civic ex 5speed... we decided we were going to race from the stopsign to the red light... its about 1/2 a mile... we pulled out of the parking lot slowly because its raining and we both floored it... i took him in second gear and i was gone in third... anyways i am ready to mod my V6 because the same guy has an acura RSX that he wants to race.

depends on if its just a RSX or a RSX Type-S (or R) the S and R will beat you probably not the regular RSX i think they are about as fast as a honda.. the type s and r will stomp you

i assume its because you feel the power at higher rpms?

true but the motor does kick in more power on open throttle... thats what he meant.. basically it comes down to this.. If your not on the throttle in a v-tec your not producing any power.. but they do produce "more power" at the high rpms.. but its not really more power its just using their power like any other car would at high rpms lol thats why i dont understand that its a good thing to have v-tecs.. there is no advantage they are just weak at low and high rpms
