Yup...cracked exhaust manifold. Most likely on the passenger side.

and if it is...prolly from a dripping AC. If thats what it is and you decide to fix it, make sure they (or you) weld a deflector in place so it doesnt happen again.

I also have a ticking noise, in my 2004 vert. It happens constantly, but it loudest when i start the car. I had orginally thought it was bad valve lifters, but I checked and they all seem to work fine.

Right about when the car started ticking, I sprayed my engine bay down with a hose while it was still hot. Could this have cracked the exhaust manifold, and if so, would it cause a ticking sound?

+1 On that exhaust leak, pass. side right before first cat closest to engine. If not a deflection plate as JA said, you can fit a hose into the A/C port where it drips and run it down past the exhaust and everything... $30ish to reweld that up at a shop if you take the exhaust off and bring it to them.

My car does that too. 2002 coupe. But it was like that when I bought the car, the guy said it had been doing it since about 30,000 miles, but mine stops a while after starting. When we took it to our friend of the family whi had been a mechanic with the Army for 20+ years he pointed to 2 valves said that it was them like spitting back and forth at eachother, and it was the engines way of regulating itself with the computer? I've never had any issues because of it.

Yep...if it was hot when the water hit it.

I cant see any visible cracks, anyone know of a way to find out for sure if its my exhaust without tearing too much apart?

It does not have to be cracked. I have dual exhaust with headers, and I had this same ticking problem. I did not have a crack anywhere, instead it was just a couple slightly loose bolts that connect the headers to the pipe. It happened everytime the car would change seasons because of the heating and cooling expanding and contracting the metal. I just tightened the bolts and put some high temp thread lock on them and I was fine.

It's the underglow kit. Your mustang is trying to shake it off.

An exhaust shop can use a stethoscope to locate the leak. Commonly it's at the flange at the bottom of the manifold where it connects to the pipe. If the manifold is off the car you can also look for carbon at the joints. The stock manifolds were pressed together with only tack welds. If you have an exhaust shop weld all the way around it should fix it. Also as someone else mentioned put anti seize on the studs and on the flared pipe end, get the exhaust aligned, and torque the nuts to specs.

I have he ticking noise too. It only happens sometimes when I accelerate from a stop at a little less than half throttle. I'm not too concerned about it tho, because it doesn't seem to bother anything and it doesn't have any problems at full throttle, or any other time really.

It stops after the car warms because the metal expands which closes it off. It's more than likely cracked headers man. I've never heard the above explaination before.

Getting a torque wrench in there is fun.
