Dual Exhaust=New Bumper???

this may be a stupid question but do i have to get a new bumper if i were to get a dual exhaust conversion? i know there is a recess in the bumper on one side, is that something i could mimic on the otherside and maybe cover both edges with some trim to tidy up the cut? or do i have to get a whole new bumper?

I had the muffler shop guy cut it. He did it for free and did great. And my tips are so big that even if he fucked it up I wouldnt be able to tell.

That would be personal preference. It would be cheaper if you, or someone you knew was good and could just cut another opening for you. That is what I would go with. If you are worried how it will come out buy a gt bumper

if u do it yourself i have no idea due to iv never seen you work on a car...but at a shop that will be around $50-60 in install (since you have the tubing, mufflers, tips, and hangers...) and if your local shop is like my local shop it should take less then an hour to cut out the old and weld in the new...

let me put it this way...to cut off my old true dual set up and have them weld in new tubing, mufflers, and hangers it took under an hour...

I have a 2004 convertible, single exhaust, at the moment. It doesn't have any cut out for the exhaust, the pipe is aimed downward under the bumper... Is that normal?
