Ok so today i chilled with a friend who i haven't seen in awhile he has a GTO and his friend that i've known for awhile drives a Neon SRt4 i think its called. Both cars are modded mine isn't so first i go at the neon at a 40 mph role after the third beep the neon guns it and gets ahead of me pretty fast we then 2nd race we meet our good old friend mr red light this i'm sitting here waiting for it to turn green and BAM i slam on my pedal and the srt4 is left in the dust.(i don't know if he was trying or not)

if you dusted a srt-4 in a stock v6 he wasn't even on the gas. There is no way you could have taken him maybe off the line till his turbo kicked in then you would have been seeing tail lights.

GTO's I hate racing they look so slow but they are so damn fast.

Well, I can tell you, he was not racing. He was just driving off the line. GTO's, well thats a different story. Dont mess with v-8's without modds.

GTO's arent that fast.. they are rated at what 350hp.. but a 04 Mach 1 with 305 will beat it in a race.. (drivers race of course) thats depressing for GTO owners

both of those cars will rape u if they wanted to its depressing to lose to a four banger, especialy when ur a v8 guy like me but it has hapend to me too. thing that makes me feel beter is it takes him thousands under the hood to be on the same level as me. i hate 4 banger dudes that talk shit when theyre cars are absolutely maxed out and just keeping up with v8s, max out a v8 an well...u can break your neck from wip lash

actually a t/c 4banger such s the srt-4 will take less to get high hp numbers,(until a certain point of course, but that is a fairly high point) but yes most v8's are capable of more power.

fwd cars will 99% of the time have better traction than a rwd..

the neon would hardly lose off the line with a even decent driver.. their turbo lag is next to nothing seeing as how they dont have much boost to build, the neon with a good driver will stomp you in every sense.. the GTO will take both

texan stud you are completely wrong on the fact that front wheel drive cars get better traction off the line then rear wheel drive... why do you think they have to make a class for fwd drag cars, they are fuckin terrible and the world record is like 7 seconds or some shit, they havent even broken 200 mph... id like to hear your argument on this one

umm they have worst starts not because of traction because it is pulling not pushing. FWD cars will have better traction because there is weight over the wheels thats why they were made better traction for light cars in the rain. At a drag strip both cars catching traction the rwd will get a better start but a fwd car will catch traction easier than rwd.

lol just because FWD cars dont have TORQUE (what makes you move lol) doesnt mean they dont have better traction.. so no i am completely right.. its very tough for a FWD car to spin alot like a RWD car off the line.. the weigh of the engine ontop of the driving wheels causes them to catch the ground better.. dont tell me im wrong when you are going on what you "think" is right and probably something you heard about.. a RWD car will spin all day, a FWD car will spin alot less than that, a AWD car will spin little if at all.. Edit: and they didnt have to make a FWD class they just did because there is 3 styles of drive... your so smart lol... and the reasont they usually arent that fast is because you cant throw a huge engine on top of your driving wheels and expect to put bigger wheels in the front than the back.. end of discussion your lil bs about the 7secs is the best they got just shows they arent ideal for drag racing besides the fact that 7seconds is extremely fast... i just laughed out loud at your ignorance

i dont know what they r runnin 4 hp but i do know there weight is around 2700-2800lbs so they got us by 300lbs or so
