door/window shaking when driving

Okay, well this started to happen recently. When I drive on the freeway and do more than 50mph the passenger door starts to shake, it only shakes when the window is down half way or lower (even completely down) but when it's up it won't shake the door. This also happens when I hit certain bumps and such, it's pissing me off because I love driving with my window completely down but this is making me worry that the door might come off

what do you think it is? anyone have this before? I read that it could be the wheels/suspension. my tires are just about to run out on thread so I will be changing them soon.

any ideas?

Check the hinges for the door and make sure nothing seems lose. I doubt that the door is gonna come off, so dont worry about that. The suspension always plays a part in the rattle you hear simply because it controls the road vibrations. However, your door shaking does not mean there is something wrong with said suspension.

The thing to remember is that we are driving sport cars... were always gonna have some degree of road noise and vibrations.

checked the hinges. Nothing wrong with them, nor are they lose. Perhaps it's the window not placed right? I mean this happens on both my doors maybe the window is not supported/hold correctly or secure enough.

my opinion is that is the air pressure that is causing it to do it...the same thing happens to me when me and my gf go out in her beetle when she only puts her sunroof back and leaves the windows up,the doors vibrate really loud and almost sounds like when you "blow into a glass coke bottle" that hollow whoo sound

I've read about this q it really is you door did you check if you had screws or something like that on the bottom? also loose screws can cause that. also move things in there if you can hit the door with something on there there's your problem..
You shouldnt drive your car like that anymore, mine is starting to do the same cuz I always pass a railroad fast with the window a little bit down..

I think it's the windows. Both of the stops on mine broke off, so they go up too far, but I also sometimes have the said rattle. When the stops break either they themselves or the now loose/broken window is able to move causing vibration and thus rattling. Another engineering fail by Ford on the new edge...

I have noticed when I hit a bump only on my driver side, the driver side door will rattle and make a funny feeling vibration for a second.

I do normally pass the railroad tracks pretty fast with my windows down. Though mind that this only happens when the window is down halfway or lower even completely down. It doesn't happen when my window is almost closed or completely closed.

Today I took off the door panel, checked the screws, everything was tight. I checked the hinges on the doors and it was fine, nothing loose or wrong.

So what other options do I have, I'm not sure on how to check if the window is positioned right, also it happens when I drive and hit the bump, my sunroof rattles but it's the sunroof window.

Ok, so you will have to drive your car with the panel off that way you will be 100% sure...
