With more work than you want to deal with. You have to do suspension work, chassis reinforcing, ton of cutting, seats are set up differently in the back seat...it's easier to just buy a convertable.

I'm lookin at the pontiac solstice GXP. 2 seater roadster with 260 hp to the crank that gets bout 30 mpg on highway. I need a new car to get some credit, a 4 cylinder to help on my insurance, and also that gas mileage is awesome. I love Stangs, but this car is in my price range, and I may be able to get a discount on it. They are all verts. Problem is not a lot of mods out for it, but thats ok. First thing I would do is a bov, boost controller, and turbo timer, and then prob a turbo upgrade since the turbo it comes with is runnin 20 psi, and it is tiny as anything.

the solstice is terrible on insurance my uncle has the non turbo model that came out last year. It drives good and everything but isn't worth the money IMO. Plus the gears are so close together it is real annoying to drive.

I was thinkin bout it, but I don't think I could get as big of a discount, and also the way it is setup the solstice has a tighter suspension.

Well I'm gonna drive one this weekend, and see what happens. I have been in one, and I can sit extremely comfortably in it. What I really want is a 350z, but that isn't in my price range. I like how that tranny is setup.

A z would be less than a new solstice wouldn't it? The solstice is a nice car but I wouldn't want it as a DD.

Nope the solstice is $22,000 and the solstice gxp is $27,000 and a z just starting base model starts at $27,000...ok that is a bit of a price drop from what it used to be. Alright I'm lookin at a z.
