2000 v6 manual vs. 1998 gt automatic MUST READ

well, i got a 98 gt and my friends got an '00 v6. as you know, the 96 -98 gts werent too fast. my gt came stock with 225hp and my friends v6 came with 190 hp stock too. well, we both have cold air intakes. he has true duels and i just got a stock h pipe with flow 40s. he has also told me about all the supposed "mods" he has.... (shorty headers and a race chip.)
but he always says one thing then goes back and says something different, so last night i have my girl in the car and we all go to summit, the whole time they are talking shit on me and making me look bad in front of her. on the way home, she shows me a back road that people race on and i did one launch. the whole time the two other kids ( my friend with the v6 and our other friend) is in the back whispering and trying to get me to race. The whole time they are pissing me off and making me look bad, and the whole time my girlfriend is silent. So g*d damn i said fuck that shit and went back to my house, dropped then off and very rudely told them to go to the location to race. on the way their, i asked my girlfriend if she wanted to get out and watch, because i have no problem with that. but she INSISTS, so i dont argue. so we scope out this abandoned road and time the red light so their isnt any traffic or other cars coming. so we do and we start rolling at 20mph then they say go and the lil v6 is off. my friend was shifting fast and he said at 500, idk if he was or not. so im a good 3 to 5 lengths behind and im almost ready to say fuck it, when all the sudden BAM i hit 3rd gear and the ass raping begins. remember, hes still a good ways away from me, and withing seconds im pullin on his ass and i roll down my window ( im still pissed off at this point) and i wave as i keep pulling by. then i start hitting the brakes and its over. i was shaking from anxiety and anger. then, my girlfriend gently grabs my hand, and starts to rub it gently. a little ways down the road, we meet up at the park and get out. i gave my props to his v6 and he showed his props too. so we said our goodbyes and left. i was feeling like rocky balboa last night, after he had beat the russian. the way to my girlfriends house, she is still rubbing my hand and arm and calmed me down. between that and winning the race, i felt strangley happy. i guess it was probably the most pleasureable moment ive had in a long time.

guys, i dont encourage street racing. but dammit, i did it last night and i dont regret ANYTHING

because the first car i ever owned was a v6 mustang and i like this forum above the others. besides, i wanna let the v6 guys know about this close race and show it takes a little money and effort to make it fast ( more than a little money)

well from the limited slip, extra power, etc. the 98 gt will beat a stock 99-04 v6 all day, and it shouldnt be close. it takes most of the bolt ons or gears to beat the non-pi 4.6L...
