Back and forth.
So, Im back and forth over the same issue.
Do I keep my 6 and try to make her fast? Or do I save my money and buy a 5.0? I keep going back and forth. Either way I'll probably put the stang away for winter and buy a winter beater. However if I keep the 6, I may just undercoat it, and drive it year round. I'm just up in the air to what to do. I want a fast car, but I also want a car to work on. And lets face it, if I buy a 5.0 I'm going to have to save all over again in order to put money into it. Also, is it possible to hit the 300hp mark in a 6 staying NA? |

Wow look at that poll! A 6 you can only do so much and with the high miles.....Save the money up. That says a lot though for the mileage on the 6. Who says america can't make a great car?!

^ How much Hp are the NA 4.2's and 4.3's making? I would say its possible but very expensive. By the time you put enough money into a 6 for NA 300 Hp motor you could have done a few minor things to the 5.0 and made 300 easily.

Yep, 260 is just about as high as you'll get. I believe someone may have made 27x at one point, but I can't remember. |

Make your V6 fast bro....You will spend more $$ on your Fox for the same mods as you would for your current 6. People keep saying you will spend SO much money to get it to 300, you will on the fox to.... And unless you really build up the fox, you will need forced induction on it as well.

i have a 300hp fox and it surprises me how quick it is for that much power. it absolutely rapes my 300+ hp cobra with 4.10's. definitely puts you back in the seat. i vote fox. cheap and fun.

I say fox because of that "growl" it has with a nice setup!a neighbor a few houses down has 1 and you can hear that guy about 2miles away!

Thought about it. Dont think Iould afford it. We'll, I freaking love my car. So like every time I get so close to saying "yeah, I'm selling her." I get sucked back in.
Here's my current thought. Since I LOVE the New Edges so much, and my car is what I've got. I figured I'll do what I can when I can to make my car as fast as I can, no huge goals, but just make her more fun. And by the end of my second year of college, since I get free tuition, and free room and board for year 2 and on, I should have 12-15k between savings and loans, that could be spent on an 02-04 GT. That's my current thought. |

12k for a New edge GT? You could pay 6-8 grand for a New edge today, and two years from now who knows. Unless of course you wanted like an extra 6 grand or so to mod it at first with.
