help with a whining noise

i have a loud whining noise on my car. i just finished building my motor, ( a 4.3 stroker with SSM 2+ power pack) it has a BBK 65mm T-body and a BBK CAI. it sounds like the whine is coming from the CAI. but cant figure out what is cousing it. the best i can come up with is that the stock T-body has a small 1/8" whole driled in the throtal plate and the new BBK one doesn't.

does any one have and ideas or have had a simulare problem.

BTW i had the CAI befor the build and it didn't whine.

thanks a lot for all and any help
-mike

air whine. no doesn't seam to get louder on accel. at least not enough to be louder then the exhaust. when driving. but sitting idling when i give it a little gas (staying under 2000 RPM) it does get some what louder.

does it hurt the performance of the car or just make a loud noise you'd rather not hear? if anything id try either drilling the hole in your new one or put the old one back on if possible and see if thats the issue

Yeah I was thinking that too. I am also thinking that just the fact there is now more air suction that its causing the whine like most CAIs make. Is it a high pitched whine or a whooshing whine?
