looking for tech help!!!!!

here's a little background...I just had a full suspension installed and my upper control arms replaced....
here's the issue-
I was pulling a u-turn in 1st-hard on the accelerator on the way out...mid power band I hear an extreamly loud "BANG" come from the rear end...

I shift into 2nd and hear annother loud bang. I limp home hearing "bangs" from what sounds like it's comming from the rear differential.

on a side note as I was pulling into the driveway (in neutral) I was getting tire chirps as if I had a diff lock....but i dont-
-My guess is that I have broken or dammaged my ring and pinoin...
does that make any sence to anyone else?-any guesses on replacement costs?

$250 or so for the t'lock ( u don't "need" one but I suggest it); $200 for the new ring and pinion, and about $3-$400 in labor.
