Window tinting!

Hello, I was wondering if I should buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...spagenameZWDVW

What do you guys think about buying that and doing it my self instead of paying $200 to have pros do it?

I read the installation notes and it seemed really easy
1. Clean your windows
2. Spray water (with a touch of soap) onto the inside of your windows
3. Peel off the window tint pre-cut shape
4. Position the window tint pre-cut shape onto your window (With the adhesive side facing the glass)
5. Use a soft squeegee to pull out all the water between your window and window film. (Work out all the bubbles at this time if any appear)
6. The adhesive will dry within 24 hours

if you do it, dont roll down your windows for 3 days... make sure that the tints have dried.. any pro will tell you to do this

I just had my windows tinted yesterday and it was worth the $175 to have someone else do it. It took 2 guys about an hour, which means that it would have taken me all day.

Just after I left the shop I pulled up behind someone with a back window that had enough air bubbles that it looked like bubblewrap.

Good luck if you do decide to do it but you can't beat a pro job on window tinting.

It does take about 3 days for the tint to fully dry. During the drying time the windows may look foggy or milky but that will clear up. Definitely put masking tape or something else across your window switches so you don't accidentally put your window down.

yeah when i got my windows tinted i def got it prof. done.. it only took 1 guy to do it in about an hour n' a half.. it cost $120 and it has a life time warrenty if it bubbles up or anything they will replace it for free.. also.. after you do it.. don't roll down your windows for a couple days or wash the inside of your windows... i'd go pro but that's just me

Well the link I posted said " Installation is a breeze because we do the hard part for you. This kit includes the precut pieces for all of your windows in" It also has a money back if youre not happy with it. I think it took those two guys an hour because the pros dont have precut pieces they cut it them selfs which is where the work and time is.

It took the guys less than 30 seconds to cut the film to match a window. All they do is place the film against the window and trace with a razor blade. Very fast and easy. It took them about 12 minutes to squeegee each window and ensure there was no excess water or any bubbles. That is where the time and effort is.

i think if you are looking to do it yourself cuz it's cheaper then it's gonna look that way.. i think if you want to improve the look you should go pro.. not to mention on the (well on mine there is i dunno if your car has it too) rear window there is those paint dots at the top where the tint will more than likely not stick to... and it you'd have to cuz the tint to fit.. and if it starts peeling n' ish you're gonna end up paying more to do it over..

the tint that autozone sales is better than that stuff . I do most of my own tint work , cept for the back glass . I hate big back glass's with multiple curves , so i pay someone to do them . Good Luck dude

Mine doesn't have painted dots on the rear window nor have I ever seen one with painted dots lol. If I damage the film I can have them send another one for free because it has life time guaranty. I guess you guys haven't read through the link?
