How to remove Shaker 500 head unit

My car is equipped with the Shaker 500 sound system. I just received my PIE FRD04 cable that will allow me to connect my MP3 player through the AUX port.

I need to pull the radio out so that I can plug the cable in. Does anyone know how to remove the head unit or can point me to a URL with that information?

ummm you can but a tool shaped like a U at walmart you need two stick one in each side (there should be holes) squeeze and pull out.

yup stereo removal keys
just took mine out today...its suppose to be easy but one of mine was messed up so a 3 min job took me 2hrs...i went through hell

i need tips on how to do it cause i got a Clarion head unit from my cusion and i never installed a system before got any advice? i got the keys

stick them in about in inch push them outwards a bit and pull out
it'll take a few tries...hopefully yours isnt messed up like mine was...literally took my forever

yeh cuz iam plannin on doing the interior trim that you have to take off when you go for the CD player while im at it.. but yeh lol ill give this thread back now
