good idea or no? i have free access to one and i was just wondering

it wouldn't hurt it as long as u sat way clear of gasket surfaces like where ur heads go on and ur headers and pan and timing cover or els u will never get a gasket to seal again.

youd be safer if you took the metal pieces off and just did them I'd be scared to start sand blasting with all those wires and near my paint.
