My car is starting to make a high pitched noise while reving

I just noticed it today, as I was taking off up the street, the engine made a really high pitched whining sort of noise while it was revving up. Anybody know what this could be? My car seems to be fine otherwise, though I have noticed it was idling a bit lower than it usually does..

does is do it when ur parked or only in gear if its only in gear its a tranny problem.

Yeah it feels like a tranny problem, it's been shifting alot harsher than it used to.

get it looked at b4 its to late and u need a whole new tranny check your fluid is it low?

might want to check under the hood. maybe someone misplaced a supercharger? lol

im jk. it could be your rear end or possibly your trans. but since you said it feels like the tranny maybe it is

which sucks....

Shit if someone somehow accidently installed a s/c on my car I would shit all over myself

omg u got a eaton m112 !!!!! j/k....what rpms is car shifting at if u floor it and do u feel a real bad lag and hard shift?

It shifts at the red line and then hangs at around 3k then falls down to about 1

and yeah it shifts pretty hard
