Throttle body and spacer??????

Hey guys i am looking into buying a new throttle body and a throttle body spacer. I have a 2002 V6 and ive looked around alot and this is what i found.

AccuFab Throttle Body for the Ford Mustang V-6

Thats the throttle body I want the 70mm. one

99-04 V-6 3.8L FORD MUSTANG HELIX THROTTLE BODY SPACER:eBay Motors (item 360160884691 end time Jun-13-09 15:09:09 PDT)

And thats the Spacer

so i just wanted to know if these were a good choice or not. Or really any suggestions or whatever.

Thank Jr. Pony

the accufab is a good product and 70mm is a good choice, as for the spacer im not running one so i dont know much about them but apparently your suppose to be like 2-4 hp but i highly doubt it

1) You want help with a v6 and you post in the v8 section
2) I've read spacers actually help the v6's because it gives them longer runners. Not sure about your intake manifold because I think an 02 is split port
3) That spacer looks a little too "tornado"-y to me.

What mods do you have? TB and a spacer won't do much of anything for you unless (until) you get new (windstar) or p&p intakes. I've also heard that even at that point a spacer is a paperweight in your engine bay. Def. once you get the intakes ported you can get a larger TB matched up.

ya goren is right, the stock throttle body on our cars already give the stock intakes as much air as they need.

Exactly. Assuming he has stock heads/intakes, the TB isn't the weak link in terms of flow. There needs to be a sticky titled "TB spacers are worthless for the v6" and maybe we'd get less people asking about them.
