Automatic Transmission kit

I was thinking of adding a Transgo shift kit to improve the life of my transmission. Ok my car shifts slightly hard to begin with when its in park to drive I have to wait for like 3 seconds before i can move the car is this normal other cars I have driven you wait for maybe 1 second and your good to go. Would this help the hard shifting. Whats your opinions on this matter?
BTW if I went with the Transgo shift kit is it this one Transgo® Shift Kit® AODE-HD2
Transgo® Shift Kit® AODE-HD2 - AODE-HD2
or is it the Transgo® Shift Kit® AODE-3
Transgo® Shift Kit® AODE-3 - AODE-3

and I can't spend a lot of money right now my budget is very tight im going to have to save on this one but I would like to know what I need to be saving for and also I heard that I might need a tuner do I really need one cause I don't have that kind of money as I'm a college student. Thanks.
Anyone please help?

Ive only heard bad things abo the transgo shift kits. I have a b&m and it works great. As far as the shifting delay, you might just need fresh trans fluid (id change my fluid and filter while putting in the shift kit).

Its the same thing, 99 shift kit will fit any 99-04. And no, you don't need a new shifter.
